Get by with a little help from my friends...

Sooo, this week was pretty much awesome. Sonia and Marisa came up and we showed them the scenic parts of Foco and the nightlife! The first night we ate delicious food at Coopersmiths, but we soon realized spicy food and beer makes your stomach churn. It was a fun night. We did a Poudre Canyon Drop-off shot which also could explain our stomachs. The next day we drove up 14 and saw sights up The Poudre River. Then that night we started off getting Cappocinis (spelling) coffee and vodka, then sushi at Suheros (YUM by the way) and went to Old Chicago. I played like 100 songs on the jukebox and as always we had a ridiculously fun night. We rented Waitress yesterday. It was a decent movie. It was so cool having a friend from home see where I live out here. I can't believe they drove all the way from AZ. I love my friends.

One week till NJ! I am so excited its not even funny. I gained 10 pounds prob. over the past 2 days so I'm going to be miserable but eat good food all week.

Tomorrow night is Molly's work party at the Hilton so that'll be fun. I'm working all weekend to get hours in, but who cares because I'll have all month off to be with the people I love!!!!

Since the Office is a part of the Writers Strike, no new episode. Grey's Anatomy was soooo good last week though so the second part should be SWEET.

Besides Sonia's visit nothing else too exciting in my life. I'm sad to leave work next week. I love it here:-(

Snow maybe tomorrow!!! AHHH!

Just a day...

- I can relate. From Postsecret

Just an ordinary day....

Happy Thanksgiving. Woke up watched Molly and Brooke run a sweet race... Spent the day thanking myself basically..... I rented movies ( & the Office), took a bath and read my book, did a face mask, painted toe nails, cleaned my room. It was basically a me day..& went to Brook's met her friend watched shows ate good food. A Colorado Thanksgiving

And I can admit to just pretending I was in a music video to Imogen Heap "The Moment I Said It" in my make-up mirror.

I learned holidays can completely not exist when your spending the day normally.

The end of "Day In The Life" by Beatles clearly is sick if you have head phones on. just saying haha....

Song of the day - "Thank You" Alanis Morrisette

Brewery Tomorrow?

I realize being far away I am so thankful for my family and how much they support my crazy life decisions and dreams, aspirations... and for them giving me the strength to come out here... following their footsteps... I know it's corny but it's true, and I am thankful.

Last weekend was Christmas sweater party, AND we did a sweet Fort Collins scavenger hunt where we had to find the most random items evvvver. There were like 70 kids at this house and we rode bikes through the town it was awesome. The Christmas sweater party was classic. We had tacky sweaters, mom pants and a mini-thanksgiving feast. Sunday was pretty lazy. I watched a marathon of America's Next Top Model ha....

My eating well streak ended today when my boss brought in all types of breakfast cakes & pizza... Oh man. It snowed last night too about 5 inches so I don't know if I'm going to my mom's cousins house in Monument tomorrow, ehhh it's sooo far. I will be at the gym tonight without a doubt.

The weekend before we went to Arthurs Rock and tryied Bouldering and we went camping in sub-zero weather. It was siiickkk.

Life has been really fun lately and Sonia comes Monday!

Tonight Molly's running friend Brook is coming over to watch ANTM & make pasta cause her and Molly are running a race tomorrow. It'll be fun.

What to do about going or not going tomorrow, ugh...... So much driving.... AND on mountains. I could just watch Blockbuster movies all day and eat by myself. haha

Thanksgivings not thanksgiving w/o your family....so I'm pretending it's just a day off. My friends out here are basically my pseudo-family.

Colorado Bizzaro

So yesterday morning I woke up with frost on my windows. Today I woke up to 65 degree weather. I love it. It's like Florida but so much sweeter. The one thing I do miss from NJ is the awesome storms, esp. watching at the bay/beach.

I started reading a book I know I'm going to love. It's called Special Topics In Calamity Physics, (yeah its not about physics clearrrllly. It's a story about a girl about my age, who went to Harvard so far, and includes "wild wayward youths" and a "captivating story". Sort of Mona Lisa Smileish for the 2000's. I'm excited. It's a NY Times Bestseller too. And a book club book, hahahaha.

Saturday is Christmas sweater party with Molly and Kelly. I have the sweetest sweater equiped with glittery presents and stockings and I couldn't forget mom jeans that come up to my chest.

Last night I went to a strength training class with weights taught by a different teacher and he was awesome. I think the balance of weight lifting/cardio/yoga is a balanced workout.

Oh and I love Yogi Tea forever...

that's it for my random happenings.

Song of the day- Feel Flow - Beach Boys

Thanksgiving is going to be not really Thanksgiving this year:-(

Waiting is the hardest part

I can't wait for

This is the longest I've ever been away from home and I'm soooo anxious to get back. Christmas is such a fun time of the year. I can't wait to do little things like go out to lunch w/ my mom and sister, get a tree, go places with all the girls ahhhhhh. I love CO but sometimes you need the familiar to refresh your spirits.

I went to a book club monday night (it could've been a television episode) The book was Jackie Kay's "The Trumpet" (it was racey and if you google it you'd see why) and there was 80% people over the age of 65 there talking about this book about modern day gender/sex stuff. It was comedic. I said like 2 things, ha.

Cranberries

I'm wearing my Cranberry Festival shirt today soooooo I got to thinking about cranberries, clearly and thought of this song. A trip down memory lane... I'm sorta corny btway

If you, if you could return, don't let it burn, don't let it fade.

I'm sure I'm not being rude, but it's just your attitude,
It's tearing me apart, It's ruining everything.

I swore, I swore I would be true, and honey, so did you.
So why were you holding her hand? Is that the way we stand?
Were you lying all the time? Was it just a game to you?

But I'm in so deep. You know I'm such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

Oh, I thought the world of you.
I thought nothing could go wrong,
But I was wrong. I was wrong.
If you, if you could get by, trying not to lie,
Things wouldn't be so confused and I wouldn't feel so used,
But you always really knew, I just wanna be with you.

But I'm in so deep. You know I'm such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

And I'm in so deep. You know I'm such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

You know I'm such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger, ah, ha, ha.
Do you have to let it linger? Do you have to, do you have to,
Do you have to let it linger?

I am brought back to around 2000. How sweet is that song?

The weekend with Haggerty was awesome. I dressed up like Wayne Campbell scwingggg. This week has been sweet. I saw Into The Wild, AND last night went over Ashleys and just hung out with her and her boyfriend & two friends from TN. It was really fun and chill.... AND we have landscaping,. Only got 2 trick or treaters, they were prob. scared of our torn up yeard!
I discovered the find of a lifetime too. The Gyro Vendors on the corner of Mountain & College. THE BEST thing I have eaten in a while! The one guy was a scruffy bonified babe too. I am totally going tonight even if I'm flying solo.

SONG OF THE DAY ~ Big Sun - Eddie Vedder "Into The Wild Soundtrack"
